That is why we process your information exclusively on the basis of the applicable legislation, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/670 (commonly known as GDPR), Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and E-commerce Act (ECA).
Please, review carefully this policy on the privacy of your personal data through which we inform you about how YourFlightRights (hereinafter “We” or “Company” or “Foundation”) processes your personal data, in particular the periods and legal grounds for their storage, use and destruction.
What happens with your data after you contact us?
When you write to us using the form on our website or send us email, we store your data for the period necessary to process your request as well as to answer any further questions you may have. We will not share this information with third parties without your explicit consent!
Storing your data
Please note that in order to facilitate the process of registering your claim on our website, we store your IP address as well as your flight number, your names, Personal Identification Number, address, email address and telephone number.
Data provided by you are required in order for us to be able to fulfill our pre-contractual or contractual obligations towards you.
When you submit your flight details which however does not contain all data required to bring that claim, we reserve the right to ask you repeatedly to provide such missing data. Upon registering a claim and performance on our part of a contract on the grounds of Article 6, paragraph 1, point b) of GDPR, we store all data on the legal relationship at least until the expiration of the term prescribed in Article 12 of Accountancy Act (AccA) 10-year period.
Our website uses the so called “cookies”. These are small text files which are loaded into your browser and stored on your end-device. They are harmless.
We use them to keep our site easy to use. Some “cookies” remain stored on your device until you delete them. They allow us to recognize your browser at your next visit.
In particular, the cookies used on our site are
а) _gat , _ga и _gid – these are performance cookies related to Google Analytics (see below in Internet traffic analysis section);
b) _unam – this is a functionality cookie which tells us what content of our site you share in the social networks used by you;
c) _lc_sso – this is a session cookie which helps you in using the chat functionality of our site.
We want you to be aware that we use the „cookies”on the grounds of Article 4 (a) of the E-commerce Act (ECA) and Article 6, paragraph 1, point (f) of GDPR.
Internet traffic analysis
Our site analyzes user Internet traffic through the Google Analytics technical solution provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. To that end, we use “cookies” which allow us to analyze the way users use our site. The information obtained is transmitted to Google and is stored there. The information may be processed in the US and we inform you that is done within the framework of the EU-US Privacy Shield agreement.
You can prevent this by setting your browser to prohibit the storing of “cooking”.
The processing of Internet traffic analysis data is carried out on the grounds of Article 6, paragraph 1, point (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest within the meaning of GDPR is in improving the functionality of our site. We appreciate the privacy of our users and therefore the data that we use to analyze web traffic are being anonymized by Google Inc. We have entered into a personal data processing contract with the latter.
Using the opt-out
If you do not consent to the way in which we use “cookies”, you can refuse their storing by setting your browser to alert you whenever a site wants to save “cookies” on your device and can either accept or refuse them. Keep in mind that deactivating the “cookies” in your browser will result in limiting the functionality our website can offer you.
You have the right to access your data which we process as well as right to rectification, erasure (rectify, erase (“right to be forgotten”), restriction of processing, data portability, withdrawal of consent and objection.
If you believe that the way we process your data infringes personal data protection regulations or if you think that your rights under such regulations have been breached in any way, you can contact the competent administrative authority. In Bulgaria this is the Commission for Personal Data Protection.
